I have come to see that you have to “play” with ideas … give them time to wander and bump into things … the neurons need time …
For example at the moment I am playing with 3 golf ideas, 1 fishing idea, and 1 cycling idea. Now I am not sure where these will go but so far each has not jumped up and said STOP.
Great ideas are random and dangerous so I find there is merit in running a few ideas in the head-juggler at once.
That said I think the inventive mind must always be on the look out for reasons to STOP.
